About the author

John's diverse background has taken him from selling pianos, forging in steel mills, serving in the Military Police Corps, investing in real estate, to maintaining IT networks for the Federal government and private contractors.
As a musician, he has appeared on radio and television and performed in the Brevard Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Community Orchestra.
He graduated with honors from Rollins College, and also attended Stetson University and the Florida Institute of Technology. He has been a member of the Florida Historical Society, Keep Brevard Beautiful, Florida Association of Realtors, Kiwanis International, Space Coast Council for International Visitors, and served several years as a Guardian Ad Litem.
Being a lifelong learner and do-it-yourselfer, John writes primarily “how to” guides, but also produced two novels over the years. His website is JohnEriksen.net/.
