Alakef Coffee Roasters is a second-generation family-owned coffee roaster in Duluth that began in 1990. The name Alakef is a Hebrew slang term meaning “hits the spot” or “the best.” Alakef Coffee Roasters supports fair trade and sustainable agriculture. Towards this philosophy, they source specialty-grade coffees with Rainforest Alliance certification to ensure comprehensive sustainable farm management that protects the environment for future generations of coffee growers.
