Wearing decontamination suits, health-care professionals learned how to cope with a toxic crisis in a drill April 7 at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital. Fifteen staff members also from Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and two others learned how to prepare for an emergency involving toxic substances and bio-hazardous materials similar to the chemical weapon used in the 1995 Sarin attack on Tokyo subway riders.

The commissioners took the concerns of the property's neighbors to heart and ordered the Music Makers hearing postponed to 7 p.m. May 31, pending a traffic study of the area.

Exhibit's art looks beyond first impressions
The word facade suggests that there is more to see than first meets the eye. That is true of each of the pieces chosen for the La Grange Art League's regional exhibition, now on display in the downtown La Grange gallery.
