As news events ramp up in Brisbane here is where numbers stood for yesterday, bearing in mind some variation in slots.
Nine News: 283,000
Seven News: 188,000
ABC News: 132,000
10 News First: 64,000
Today: 78,000
Sunrise: 62,000
News Breakfast: 52,000
We’ll see if things shift later in the week as audiences turn to news bulletins.
Meanwhile in national figures Seven has the edge, including with a big win at breakfast yesterday.
Married at First Sight again topped Tuesday vieweing with 1.74m in National TV Audience.
Australian Idol was 862,000 then 7:30 (855,000), Foreign Correspondent (520,000) and Australian Survivor (505,000).
Later Madam finiished with a win at 486,000 then The Hunting Party (254,000), The Role of a Lifetime (245,000), NCIS (191,000) and Insight (187,000).
Nine won Tuesday.
Nine News was 1.3m then wins for A Current Affair (1.2m) and Tipping Point (728,000). Footy Classified was 111,000 in select markets.
Seven News led with 1.39m then Home & Away (850,000) and The Chase (626,000). The Irrational is TBA.
ABC News was high at 956,000. Hard Quiz (296,000) and Queerstralia (106,000) followed.
10 News First drew 370,000 for 10 then The Project (296,000). Deal or No Deal was 241,000.
On SBS it was SBS World News (TBA) Great Coastal Railway Journeys (156,000) and Dateline (TBA).
Sunrise: 449,000
Today: 346,000

I can never understand why Queensland is still broadcast an hour later than southern states when there is such an important event. They keep saying live but off course they are not live up here. You would think something so important would be live to the people who it affects the most.
FYI, Today was live into Queensland today and I presume the rest of the week. I’d expect that Sunrise will also be live into Queensland tomorrow, Friday and Saturday.
Yes I know Today was live today but I was talking about Sunrise specifically this morning. They seemed to think it was important enough to have Shirvo up here
