The sixth and final season of The Handmaid’s Tale will be fastracked to SBS on Demand in early April.
Three episodes will be available on Tuesday 8 April, same day as the US.
The full season will be scheduled on both SBS and SBS On Demand with new episodes premiering weekly up to the finale on Tuesday 27 May. More information on timing for SBS On Demand availability and the broadcast schedule on SBS will be provided closer to launch.
Season six stars Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Bradley Whitford, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd, O.T. Fagbenle, Samira Wiley, Madeline Brewer, Amanda Brugel, Sam Jaeger, Ever Carradine and Josh Charles.
In the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale, June’s (Elisabeth Moss) unyielding spirit and determination pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead. Luke (O.T. Fagbenle) and Moira (Samira Wiley) join the resistance. Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) tries to reform Gilead while Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) and Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) reckon with what they have wrought, and Nick (Max Minghella) faces challenging tests of character. This final chapter of June’s journey highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity, and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom.
The Handmaid’s Tale is produced by MGM Television.
