The transient was discovered on 8th February 2019 at 15:25:55 (MJD 58522.64) by ATLAS as ATLAS19del with a discovery magnitude of cyan = 19.38. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia at z = 0.071.

Prediction: Supernova
