How to search

Search for jobs by typing a keyword or a location into the search box at the top of the home page. You can also click the search icon at the top right of any page and the search bar will appear.

Search by keyword

Search by job title, department, agency, job series or other keywords to get more specific search results. For example, instead of searching for attorney, you can type patent attorney and search for announcements with that keyword.

You can search by:

  • A single keyword and we’ll look for jobs that contain that keyword.
  • Multiple keywords and we’ll look for jobs that contain all of those keywords.

Search by location

Search for jobs by entering a country, state, city or zip code, or by typing remote in the location search box. When you start typing, we'll offer suggestions to help narrow your search. If you search by a city, we'll include all jobs within a 25-mile radius. Remote positions are automatically included in search results.
