Errata for F. W. Bessel (1825): The calculation of longitude and latitude from geodesic measurements (translated by C. F. F. Karney and R. E. Deakin).

Errata in Astron. Nachr. 331(8), 852–861 (Sept. 2010):

• Sec. 2, para. 1: replace “radius of curvature by R” by “radius of curvature be R”.
• Sec. 2, 4th last eq.: use the partial derivative in place of “dU/dp”.

• Footnote 1: the initial quotation marks on “du Séjour's method” are the wrong way round.
• Sec. 2, para. 1: replace “the azimuth of line directed” by “the azimuth of the line directed”.
• Sec. 2, para. 1: replace “radius of curvature by R” by “radius of curvature be R”.
• Sec. 2, 4th last eq.: use the partial derivative in place of “dU/dp”.
• Page 5, col. 2, line 2: replace “adding the first term in the series” by “adding the next term in the series”.
• Sec. 9, para. 1: replace “Thus it not possible” by “Thus it is not possible”.
