MARESA shares back-to-school resources for student’s mental health
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Schools across the Upper Peninsula have started with some even having their first day of classes after Labor Day.
As classes begin, student success and mental health take center stage.
MARESA Mental Health Services Director Dr. Jennifer Krzewina says a student’s mental health is a major factor for success in the classroom.
Other factors can play into mental health and the success of students such as healthy foods, screen time, and activities outside the classroom.
Krzewina says anxiety is very common and a great strategy to help a student with anxiety is to listen.
