Wheelchair Service Training Package for Managers and Stakeholders

Overview

It is estimated that more than 70 million people worldwide require wheelchairs, yet only 5-15% of people have access. To address this, WHO has developed a series of Wheelchair Service Training Packages. The third in the series consists of two sub-packages: the Wheelchair Service Training Package for Managers (WSTPm) and the Wheelchair Service Training Package for Stakeholders (WSTPs). WHO recognizes that to develop effective and sustainable wheelchair service provision; managers and other stakeholders need to be aware of the importance and benefit of comprehensive wheelchair service provision. The WSTPm and WSTPs are designed to support managers and other key stakeholders in establishing comprehensive wheelchair service programmes within their countries.
