[edit]1) The Voice of my Beloved: The Song of Songs in Western Medieval Christianity. 1990
This book covers love poems and lyrics from the works of Solomon. It is a mix of historical research and draws inspiration from biblical texts and history. Matter takes latin commentaries and interperpates themes of love through those works. Through her research, Matter explores the relationship share between love and the church.
